Publishing is split into clear steps in Studio.
Open publish settings: Studio → select a guide → Publish & placement (or from the guide menu in the editor).
| Setting | What it means |
|---|---|
| Draft / Published | Draft = work in progress. Published = ready for readers with access. |
| Private / Public | Private = members only. Public = anyone with the link can read. |
| List in Guides.co library | Optional discovery on the public site (only when Public). |
| AI-readable | Opt-in for machine-readable export when also Public and Published. Off by default. |
| Publisher / Home channel | Which org and channel own the guide. When Personal is selected, the label reads Shelf and + New shelf appears beside the picker. |
| Also publish in | Show the same guide in additional channels (indented checklist on the Publish panel). |
| Guide details | Title, description, cover photo for cards and search. |
Archive removes the guide from all libraries; restore from Studio → Archived. Click Save settings after changes.
